Terms and Conditions Easy Living Curaçao
All our prices are in US dollars. The current dollar-euro exchange rate is the daily exchange rate at the time of booking by the ING Bank.
All our rates in quotations and offers are incl. sales and local taxes, unless otherwise stated.
Our offers are valid for 14 days. Receiving an offer does not give any right to reservation (option) for the period concerned. Your booking is only final once the deposit has been credited to our account.
Because the apartments are privately owned, this means that you will not be charged sales tax and you cannot deduct it.
Our quote includes:
- Energy consumption of 40Kw per day (for the Villa 10Kw per person per day). This is sufficient for normal consumption (incl. air conditioning). Additional consumption will be settled or deducted from your deposit upon departure in consultation.
- Use of wireless broadband (15Mb) internet.
- Your apartment will be cleaned once a week (including change of beds and towels). More frequent mid-term cleaning is available for a $125 fee per cleaning.
- Final cleaning of the apartment after your departure. In case of serious pollution of the rented property, we reserve the right to deduct the extra cleaning costs from your deposit.
- Management of the apartment. In case of questions and emergencies, you can contact the local manager 24 hours a day, who also has the authority to solve any questions and problems immediately.
Our offer does not include:
- Deposit of $500 per week, with a maximum of $1,000. This deposit must be paid with the final payment before your departure and will be refunded to your account within 2 weeks after your departure from the apartment.
- Accommodation tax of 7% (sales tax). This tax is levied by the Curaçao government and must be levied on all commercial residences on the island and must be paid by the landlord.
Optional:
- Shopping service. Before your arrival, please send us a list of groceries by e-mail that you would like to have in the apartment upon arrival. The manager will do the shopping for you and deliver it to the apartment. It concerns the groceries for the first evening and morning. This service is free, you only pay the amount of the receipt to the administrator.
- Transfer from Hato Airport to the apartment. The costs for this are approximately $50.00. You pay directly with the taxi driver
Arrival Departure:
- On the day of arrival, your apartment will be available no later than 3 p.m. Agreements will be made with you regarding the reception and the time of reception at the apartment.
- On the day of departure, you must vacate the apartment by 11 a.m. The manager will make an appointment with you on site regarding the delivery of the apartment and the determination of the refund of the deposit. In many cases, a later check-out is possible, you must short-circuit this with the manager on site.
- A guaranteed late check-out is available upon availability for a fee of $150. This is not included as standard in our quotation, you must request this during the booking process.
Payment:
- As soon as you book, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with our invoice. The deposit is 40% of the total booking amount as shown on the offer, excluding the deposit. The deposit must be in our account within 7 days. Only then is your booking final.
- You will receive an invoice for the second part of 60% plus the deposit no later than 45 days before your departure. This amount must be in our account no later than 30 days before departure.
- If you book within 45 days before your arrival, you must pay the entire amount at once. This amount must be in our account no later than 30 days before departure.
- Cancellation is possible up to 30 days before your departure against payment of 40% of the total booking amount. If you cancel within 30 days of departure, you will not receive a refund. You must take care of any cancellation insurance yourself.
- The deposit will be refunded to your account within 14 days of your departure. Any deductions from the deposit will be discussed with you upon your departure. If this is not possible, no later than 7 days after your departure.
Your acceptance of these terms
By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
